Listened and was helpful to the questions I was asking. As a first time mum I had a few worries. He was helpful and friendly. And had the time for me rather then rushing me

Dr David Uncles saw me prior to my op and then in theatre. He was extremely calm and reassuring and professional. I felt very cared for and not at all frightened. The atmosphere in theatre when administering the anaesthetic was relaxed and we had a bit of banter which helped me greatly to feel a person and not just another patient to get through. He also listened to what I was saying , read all my notes from previous times, and happily administered anti sickness so that I was not ill post -operative, and also not anxious about it. I trusted Dr Uncles and felt very safe. I hope that I have his care when/if I have another operation. Many thanks to him.

Dr Uncles was very efficient and ask plenty of questions and listen tentatively to me I was completely at ease throughout the process of Unaesthetic I was completely at ease with the process and was able to smile and chat because of the professional way I was completely. I did not worry at all. Cannot fault Dr Uncles at all

Profile

I am a specialist Anaesthetist with interests in Obstetric, Ambulatory and Inpatient anaesthesia. I employ a variety of anaesthetic techniques including general or regional anaesthesia, although I often use them in combination to optimise and enhance patients' peri and post-operative experience.
I am dedicated to putting the patient first through the provision of safe and reassuring care delivered in conjunction with my colleagues and associates.
I was present at the inauguration of the Helsinki Declaration in June 2010. This enshrines the values essential to the promotion of the highest professional and safety standards expected of anaesthetists. It is my hope to match or even exceed the expectations of patients who place their trust in me.
